International Council for Traditional Music

A Non-Governmental Organization in Formal Consultative Relations with UNESCO

Important information: the meeting “Performing, Engaging, Knowing” will not take place in Sursee, Switzerland from 26 to 29 August 2020

Dear Members of the StG on Applied Ethnomusicology,

We regret to inform you that, due to the current global situation, the meeting “Performing, Engaging, Knowing” will not take place in Sursee, Switzerland from 26 to 29 August 2020. We are now considering one of two options:

1) either we will postpone the meeting until February 2021, or,

2) we will hold a virtual conference during the planned dates (from 26 to 29) in August 2020.

In either case, the abstracts that have been accepted for the conference will be included in the programme.

It is hard to foresee how the situation will develop over the coming weeks. We will be in touch with further information by the end of May, at the latest.

Until then, take care!

Best regards,
