I hope this email finds you well. On behalf of the ICTMD MEA Executive Committee, I am writing to invite you to the Study Group Welcome Meeting at the 48th ICTMD World Conference on January 9th. The meeting is scheduled from 13:00 to 14:30 Wellington time (GMT+13) during Session IC04. For those unable to travel to Wellington, I have created an online meeting room. Kindly note that South Korea and Japan are 4 hours behind Wellington time (GMT+9), while China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong are 5 hours behind (GMT+8). Additionally, please note that online participation is limited to 100 participants. I hope this capacity will be adequate.

During the meeting, I will provide a summary of the recent MEA symposium in Osaka on behalf of the 2024 Local Arrangement Committee and share an update on the progress of organizing the 2026 MEA symposium in Taipei on behalf of the 2026 Local Arrangement Committee. Additionally, members of the Executive Committee have been invited to present emerging issues among peers, professional group gatherings, newly published monographs, and/or significant events in music and dance from the regions they represent. These presentations aim to encourage audience contributions and spark discussions. Through these exchanges, we hope to strengthen connections within our Study Group and foster a deeper mutual understanding of scholarship across different regions.
