Dear members of the ICTM Study Group for FOLK MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS,

On behalf of the election committee, I would once again thank you for all your active participation in electing the new Chair of the ICTM Study Group for FOLK MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS via e-mail.

From 47 registered members, I received the ballots of 27 members (1 member gave two votes instead of only 1 and is therefore omitted in the final list of result). This is almost 2/3 of the total list of members, and this is a legal proportion to call it a formal and correct election.

So as a result Gisa Jaehnichen has been elected as the new Chair of the ICTM Study Group for FOLK MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. Again on behalf of the election committee I congratulate Gisa Jaehnichen and thank her for overtaking the task of the Chair of the Study Group. I truly hope that she is going to do her level best to make an retain the activities of this longstanding Study Group.

My job and responsibility is herewith accomplished. I personally want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your trustfulness during the process of the election.
