In Memoriam Dieter Christensen (1932-2017)
Dieter Christensen (1932–2017), former Secretary General of the International Council for Traditional Music (1981-2001) and General Editor of the Yearbook for Traditional Music (1982–2001), passed away in Berlin on 1 March 2017.

Donate to ICTM's 70th Anniversary Fund
The International Council for Traditional Music will celebrate its 70th anniversary during the 44th World Conference in Limerick, Ireland in July 2017. The Executive Board of ICTM created a special-purpose 70th Anniversary Fund to help make the conference as memorable as possible.

Submissions to the 44th ICTM World Conference are now open
You are cordially invited to submit a proposal to present at the 44th ICTM World Conference. The conference will take place at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick (Limerick, Ireland) from 13 to 19 July 2017. During the conference, the 70th anniversary of the Council will be celebrated.
Search for new Book Reviews Editor of the Yearbook for Traditional Music
The Yearbook for Traditional Music requires a Book Reviews Editor to replace Sydney Hutchinson, who will be stepping down from this position in July 2016. The Book Reviews Editor is responsible for soliciting, coordinating, and editing up to 15 reviews of books for each Yearbook, totalling c. 8000 words. He or she will also coordinate with and oversee the work of the Book Notes Editor.

Results of ICTM 2015 elections
The 2015 ICTM elections aimed at fulfilling two positions for Ordinary Members of the Executive Board and one position for Vice President. The ballot contained five candidates for Ordinary Members (Suraya Agayeva, Dan Bendrups, Miguel García, Tan Sooi Beng, and J. Lawrence Witzleben) and two names for Vice President (Razia Sultanova and Stephen Wild).
